Donation of Medical
Supplies and Equipment:
In an effort to help meet the
vast medical needs around the globe, Vessels of Mercy, Intl. not only sends
teams to critical areas to render direct aid, but we also send needed supplies
to hurting areas to provide the resources that can help third-world clinics meet
the daily needs of their people. For example, we have been able to provide
supplies to hospitals in poverty-stricken Niger, West Africa and Honduras, as
well as flood-ravaged clinics in Haiti. We purchase supplies directly but we
also depend heavily upon the kind donations of individuals and organizations.
It is important that we only receive those items that we know can be
specifically utilized. Please refer to the following guidelines and if you have
medical equipment, supplies, or medications that you would like to donate for
these ongoing efforts, please contact us.
Equipment:
Practically any item in good
working order can be considered. Items with available Operations Manuals are
very desirable.
Supplies:
Once again, practically any
common medical supplies can be considered. Specifically, we have ongoing needs
for wound care supplies, Hydrogen Peroxide, Betadine dressings, surgical
supplies, as well as orthopedic assist devices such as crutches and slings.
Medications:
We do not
accept the donation of prescription medications that are opened, unlabeled,
expired, or narcotics/controlled substances. We do have ongoing needs for
common over-the-counter medications such as: Tylenol tablets: 500 MG and
325 MG and children's chewables, Advil or Motrin tablets, Robitussin
cough medicine, Benadryl, Saline eye drops, Tums, Pepcid, Triple-antibiotic
ointment, Anti-fungal cream, Hydrocortisone cream, Kwell/lice shampoo, Vitamins:
adult, children's, and pre-natal.

precaution to protect your contribution information. When you submit sensitive
information via the Web site, your information is protected both online and
offline. We use industry standard security protocol to communicate with your
browser software, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to
intercept the credit card information you send us. Companies we work with to
process credit card transactions also use high-grade encryption and security
protocols. Internally we work to accurately process your contribution
information and apply security and privacy controls over the information. If

Why is there a minimum amount

transaction, which makes it impractical to accept donations less than $ 20.00.

Can I dedicate my donation to
someone or make a donation on behalf of a person?
Yes. You can make your donation a “tribute” to
someone -- in their honor or in memory of a loved one. Please enter the name and
address in the Honor/Memorial Donation Information section of the Online
Donation page or attached the information to your mail donation. Vessels of
Mercy International will mail a letter to your recipient announcing that you
made an Honor or Memorial donation. You will also receive a letter of
acknowledgement with you donation amount and date.
